Most Needed Items (post for your community food drive so everyone knows what's best to give)
A lot of canned peas, bottles of fruit juice, frozen chicken, fresh apples…and thousands of other items are donated to the Houston Food Bank by the food industry and the community each year. Donated food helps fill the stomachs of impoverished individuals in our 18-county service area.

To Drop Off Food:
If you have a smaller-scale donation of food (a few bags or boxes, as opposed to a van or pick-up truck full of food), please stop by the food bank lobby any time during our regular business hours. We keep bins ready to receive donations.

Monday-Friday
8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Extended hours Tuesday until 9 p.m.
Saturday
8 a.m.-noon

Drop-offs from larger community collections, such as food drives, can be taken to the receiving area of our warehouse. Just stop by the lobby first so that we can notify our warehouse staff.
